The first ASU game of the season was on Thursday and of course ASU killed it!!  We had a lot of fun tailgating.  It actually turned out not to feel to hot while we were tailgating because we were in the shade and there was a bit of a breeze.  Tatum had fun running around and playing bag toss and Camdyn just enjoyed being outside.

Once we got to the game it was HOT.  It was SO HOT!!  Don't remember a game in the last few years that it has been so hot!!  Tatum was absolutely terrified of the fireworks and the first half of the game was very rough for her.  She was so scared she was shaking.  So we spent a lot of time away from the game, in the store, walking around with her Daddy.  Thought maybe this year it wouldn't be so bad but she was just so super scared.  Anyone that has any suggestions on how we can calm her fear of the sound, I would love for you to share them!!  Camdyn did great at her first ASU game.  We just put some cotton balls in her ears to protect them and she seemed to just be taking it all in.

**Update on Cam's ears**  On Friday her left ear was bleeding quite a bit so we took her back into her surgeon.  Turned out she has blood pooling behind her ear drum.  I guess he sees it happen about 2 or 3 times a year, so lucky us poor Cam is one of those :(.  Basically it just needs to be flushed out so we have to up the amount of ear drops she is getting.  We will go back into see him on Friday afternoon for him to check and make sure that everything looks good.  She still doesn't seem to be herself.  Don't get me wrong she is the happiest baby ever still, but she just isn't drinking very much and all of the sudden will start crying like she hurts or something.  Luckily cuddle time with Mommy helps her feel better quick :).  Will keep you updated on how she is doing.

Matt left yesterday for Wisconsin with the Kahler men and he will be back a week from today. So Gramma came out to spend the week with us girls and we are excited for all the fun we are going to have!! We are missing Matt like crazy already and Tatum has asked me about 40 times where her Daddy is.  She knows he is in Wisconsin, but guess she just doesn't know how long a week is, haha.  Luckily we have skype and can talk to him all week that way.  Good luck catching all those fishies!!!!

See you in a week Daddy.

Our good friends Tom and Allison Ekren had there baby girl yesterday, Bridget Elizabeth Ekren. We are so super excited for them and baby Bridget is absolutely beautiful!!  Just wanted to give them a big Congratulations!! Great job Mommy and Daddy!!

Camdyn's Ear Surgery

Camdyn had her ear surgery this morning and it went great!!  I woke her up last night at 11:30 to fed her and make sure her belly was nice and full since she was not allowed to eat after midnight.  She was in a great happy mood this morning and we got to the surgery center about 7:15 and got all checked in.  We were taken back to a kids room and Camdyn got to play with a few toys while we spoke to her doctor and anesthesiologist.  We gave Camdyn to the nurse and we were sent back out to the waiting room.  Camdyn and I both immediately started crying.  By the time I had stopped crying and read one page of my book, Camdyn was all done.  The surgery took less than 10 minutes!!

Camdyn's cute feet with her hospital band on.

All smiles before surgery!!

Waiting to talk to the doc.

Cam got in some play time before her surgery.

Fun toys!!

The doc said Camdyn did great and he got her ears all cleaned out.  He said they were both full of mucus and infection.  So that is her 5th ear infection!!!!  Dr. McKenna was able to get everything all cleared out so her ears are looking good.  He popped the tubes in and she was done.

Doesn't her ear look great ;)

Camdyn was not a fan of coming out of the anesthesia.  She was all dangly and screaming her head off.  Her heart rate was up to 192 beats a minute at one point because she was screaming so much!!  The whole time we were back with her in recovery, about 20 or so minutes,  she screamed.  I got her to drink about 2 ounces of her bottle but that was it.  As soon as we got her in her carseat and got her out of there she fell asleep.  She is now sleeping, well snoring I should say on the couch.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... snoring away..........

We have to make sure she has lots of fluids today because of the anestesia and he gave us ear drops to give her for the next five days.  She has to wear ear plugs from now on when she bathes or is around water.  And other than that we just have to be really aware of sound level.  Camdyn's ears are going to be very sensitive now because she will be able to hear so much better now that everything that was in there is cleared out.  So guess we better tell Tatum no more screaming in the house, haha, don't think that will happen ;)

We are just so glad that Camdyn's ears finally have hope of clearing up and she will be able to hear so much better now.  Thanks everyone who sent her your extra love and prayers.  She definitely got them all!!

Almost September

Cannot believe that it will be September tomorrow!!  So crazy that the year is whizzing by!!

Tatum had another great day at dance class on Monday.  She just smiles non-stop the whole time she is in there.  She listens so well and catches on quickly.  So glad she is loving it.  She is sad that she won't have dance class next week because of Labor Day, so guess we will have to have a little dance class at home, haha.

I guess at school they are teaching the kids to count in Spanish.  We had no clue Tatum was even learning this.  Then last night we were just sitting around and all of the sudden Tatum started counting in Spanish.  It was the cutest thing she was so cute when she was going it!!  She can count up to 8.  Check her out!!

I took Camdyn to the Otolaryngologist  (fancy name for ear, nose, throat doctor) on Friday because she has already had 4 ear infections, which are causing her eye infections.  We saw Dr. McKenna, who was absolutely awesome!!  He said Camdyn is currently not in good shape regarding her ears because she is so young and has had so many ear infections, it is not the time of year that she should be getting ear infections - so when winter comes it could get nasty, and she has genetics working against her because I had ear troubles also.  So long story short she is getting tubes put in her ears tomorrow morning.  It is going to be a very quick surgery.  Dr. McKenna said it takes 4 minutes per ear and we won't be apart from her for more than 20-30 minutes.  Camdyn can't eat for 8 hours before the surgery so that is going to be hard.  We figure we will give her a big meal about 11 or so and hope that will tide her over until she can eat after her surgery.  Keep her in your thoughts tomorrow morning!!

I just have to add in here that we honestly have THE ABSOLUTE BEST pediatrician on the planet.  Dr. Barnes-Clark is so AMAZING!!  Camdyn has a bad rash and I had called the doctors office Monday morning and spoke with the nurse and they told me she probably has the rash from taking her antibiotic and they told me to get some over the counter cream and put it on her.  We did...... Anyway.......  Last night it was absolutely awful and we were super worried about her.  So we took a picture of the rash and sent a text to our doctor (she had given us her cell phone number because we seem to need her alot, haha).  Within 5 minutes she was texting me back and she called us in a perscription for Cam right away.  Last night Camdyn slept the whole night and finally the rash is getting better already.  It is so great knowing that the girls doctor is always there for us.  She is so caring and she actually remembers my kids.  After we got the perscription all figured out she was checking in on Camdyns ears and asking what Dr. McKenna had said.  She is just the best ever.  So if anyone wants an AWESOME pediatrician for the kids go to her.  You will be soooooo glad that you made that choice :).

Hope you have a most wonderful day!!!!

Tatum's First Dance Class

Tatum just got home from her very first dance class.  She was so awesome and had so much fun. She had the biggest smile on her face the entire time.  Honestly so did I, I was so proud of her.  Tatum did so great and listened so well.  She followed exactly what her teach did and Loved it.

Her teachers name is Mrs. Peggy and there are 7 kids in her class right now.  They started off the class in their tap shoes at the bar doing some toe tapping and shuffling.  They came out to the center next and did a little dance to 'Animal Crackers in my Soup'.  .

Then they put their ballet shoes on and did some stretching.  Then it was time for tumbling (somersaults and trampoline jumping).  The class finished out with some crawling across the mat and hoping and jumping.

It was so awesome to watch her and so fun to be back at Dance Connection 2.  It has been 10 years  since I have been at that studio and it was so great walking back in there.  Even though its in a different place and so much has changed.  I hope Tatum wants to dance there for the next 15 years :) :)

I hope Tatum continues to love going to dance and enjoys it every week.  I think she defintely will go back because she got a sucker at the end of class :).  And she was the first one to get her sucker because she was the best listener of the day.  Not that I am bragging or anything ;)

Camdyn's Baptism

Today was a big day for Camdyn, she was baptised this morning.  We are so proud of her and she did an awesome job during it.  Camdyn's Godparents are her Aunt Emma and Uncle Andrew and we are so thankful they are up to the task and Camdyn is so very lucky they both will always be here to guide her!!

Camdyn was a bit fussy while Pastor Roger was talking but as soon as she started getting the water on her head she was immediately soothed and was paying great attention to all that was going on.  We were surrounded by our family and it was wonderful knowing how many people Camdyn has to support and stand up for her.

We had a great day at church and then had the family over for a Baptism Celebration at our house.  It was a wonderful day and we are feeling so BLESSED!!!!

Baking Cakes on Family Day!!

Saturday we spent some time baking a cake for Camdyn's baptism.  The girls and I had so much fun baking and the cake turned out super yummy.  This was the first time that Tatum cracked an egg and didn't get any shell in the bowl (so I didn't have to go fishing for it).  I was so proud of her, she is becoming quite the baker!!  Camdyn helped up by holding the measuring cup and playing legos :)

Camdyn Breeze is 6 Months

Our little Camdyn Breeze is growing up so super fast.  Cannot believe she is already 6 months old!!  She is growing like a weed and is such a happy baby.

Camdyn Breeze Kahler - 6 Months Old

Camdyn had her 6 month check up yesterday - She is 17.4 pounds and 26 inches.  So she is a little bit above average for both height and weight.  Cam did great with her vaccinations and was so very brave.

But of course Camdyn is still sick.  She has another ear infection and a sinus infection which are both backing up and causing her eye infection.  So we are putting her on a stronger set of antibiotics for 20 days in the hopes that we can clear out all the bacteria that is holding on in there.  We are really hoping that this medicine works and gets her back to healthy.  Good thing is she is completely happy even though she might not be feeling too hot.  We have another doc appointment in 2 weeks to check up and see how she is doing.  Think healthy thoughts for our baby girl!!

Cam is growing great and eating like a champ.  She is almost all the way through the food I made her a few weeks ago, so I will be making another batch of food for the freezer this weekend.  Gonna go to my favorite baby food site and see what new things she can be eating now!! (http://wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com/)  Gotta make sure she has a good variety and doesn't get bored with anything.  She really is much more adventurous than Tatum was so I gotta keep it new and exciting for her :)
