Emma's Bridal Shower

On November 2nd we got to help host a bridal shower for Emma.  Emma and Andrew are getting married in just a few months and it is so exciting that the countdown festivities have begun!!  I was so lucky to be able to be on the planning team with Emma's All Star Bridesmaids.  Emma sure does have awesome besties and sisters!!

The theme of the shower was Love is Sweet, so there was about 300 desserts.  300 is probably not even an exaggeration there was so many sweet treats that you could get a sugar high just by walking into the door!!  Everyone made something yummy and every bite was delicious!!

Emma is so loved by so many and it showed on her Bridal Shower day!!  She got so many wonderful gifts and watching her smile while enjoying her day was so fun for me!!

So proud of you Emma and so excited we got to be part of this special day and cannot wait for the BIG special day coming up!!

Halloween Fun

We had such a great Halloween season this year and the whole month of October totally FLEW by!!

The girls had originally wanted to be pirates for Halloween this year but of course they both ended up being Princesses.  They each picked their favorite.  Tatum was Snow White and Camdyn was Rapunzel (or Tangled if you asked her).

We started all the Halloween fun with our 3rd Annual Kahler Family Pumpkin Party, we had our family and best friends come over for a night of pumpkin carving, food and good fun!!  We all had a blast.  I mad chili and macaroni and cheese again this year and it was pretty yummy if I do say so myself.  The girls had a great time playing with their besties and Matt and I enjoyed chatting with friends.  We had some pretty great carvers this year, Casey took home the prize for best pumpkin of the night!!

Later in the month we took the girls to the King of Glory Boo Bash with their cousins Hallie and Bridget.  All of the kids were so cute in their costumes.  The girls loved playing all the games and activities that were there and of course the costume parade.  It is so fun for Tatum and Camdyn to be able to do fun activities like that with their sweet cousins!!

Then it came time for Halloween.  The girls had been so excited to go trick or treating and had been practicing what do to all week!!  We were so lucky that Uncle Andrew was in town and the girls got to have him be their trick or treat buddy for the night!!  The girls did awesome.  They went up and down our street and then we even went over and did some trick or treating at a few houses in Nana and Papas neighborhood.  Too much candy!!!!  I had the girls dump all of their candy on the floor and they could pick a few favorites that they could absolutely not live without and sent the rest of the candy to work with Matt!!  Well of course I kept all the mini crunch bars for myself :)

Camdyn started dance!!

Camdyn started dance class in October and is rocking it!!  She wants to be just like her big sister!!  From the minute we went and bought her her tap shoes she was loving it!!

She is of course the cutest in the class!!  She always wears the same thing.  I can’t get her to wear a different outfit.  She loves to wear the pink skirt outfit that Tatum wore to her very first dance class.  It is so hard to remember when Tatum first started dancing and her being so small, but she must have been!!

Right now they are learning a dance to Animal Crackers in my soup just like Tatum did also.  Camdyn is taking the same class that Tatum started in with Ms. Peggy.

She loves getting out there and shaking her toosh and bouncing on the trampoline!!

We love having 2 little dancers in the house!!

So excited!!

Working hard in class!!

Loving every minute of it!!

Summer Happenings....

I cannot believe the lack of posting that has happened the last few months.  Where did the time fly??  Are we really in October already?!?!  I want to document the life of the Kahler family so I am going to browse through the pics on my phone and just do little updates of what we have been up to so when we look back we don’t forget this chunk of time!!

Let’s start with Tatum.  Tatum is amazing.  She is the best big sister we could ever hope to have in our family.  She really is just so sweet and caring and has such a sensitive heart.  Tatum started pre-kindergarten and is loving it.  She gets smarter everyday.  Her teacher Ms. Sara is so awesome and such a light in her life and she definitely loves school especially the science experiments they get to do!!  Tatum is loving her dance class, this year she is taking a jazz/tumble class and is having an absolute blast with her besties McKenna and Chloe.  Those girls sure can shake their hips!!  Right now she loves playing babies and she loves playing “work”.  Funny I used to love playing “work” too, not sure why that was so much more fun than my actual work!!

Camdyn is a very big girl.  She has been potty trained for several months, she is sleeping in a big girl bed in her room and she talks up a storm.  She went from not being able to be understood to talking in full sentences and we can have a full conversation with her.  Our little Cam sure can be a stinker!!  She likes to tell us no and she thinks she is just so cute and hilarious and we do not always agree.  But she flashes that dimple and her cuteness wins!!  Camdyn also likes to be naked.  As her Uncle Andrew says she is living young and wild and free….. We are in trouble!!

Let me see.  Our neice Hallie Grace Veeh was born September 5th and she is perfect and such a wonderful addition to our big family!!  The girls are totally in love with their newest sweet cousin and love every minute with her!!

Matt went to Wisconsin and had a great time.  He caught his first Muskie and it was a super awesome experience for him.  Next year maybe he will catch the winner!!

Matt and I had our 8 year wedding anniversary.  Lots of memories we talked about and enjoyed going through while we were out to dinner just us.  It was nice to take the time just to be the two of us!!  He scored definite points when he brought beautiful flowers to my office himself.  Best looking delivery man I know!!

ASU football started and we are having a great time!!  We are tailgating in a different lot this year so it’s a little bit more of a walk but its still in the grass so we enjoy it.  The girls and I usually leave at half time because they have usually had enough of football and fireworks by then.  The team shop is still a get away spot for us and we can always find something to buy!!

I think that’s a good blip about the last few months, hopefully I can stay current with out updates!!
