Girls Weekend

This weekend it was just me and the girls at home.  Matt went down to Tucson with the guys for a golf weekend and we stayed home to have fun!!

Friday night the girls and I started out at Hobby Lobby to get some things to do a few fun crafts.  Then we headed over to our favorite food spot, Chick Fila.  The girls had a great time, but they were out of toys for the kids meals, luckily even though there was no toy to trade in they still let us get an ice cream cone.  Thank goodness!!  After our fancy dinner and some play time we came home and Aunt Lindsey joined us for a fun filled night of Hide and Seek and Say Yes to the Dress.

Saturday morning we woke up early of course.  Camdyn was up at 5:30 and Tatum slept later until 7.  We got a lot done around the house and worked on our crafts.  We had a lot of fun spreading the glitter, good thing we did that project outside!!  We also tried a recipe that we had found for cookie dough truffles.  And basically they are deliciously amazing!!

After our crafty morning, the girls were ready for a long nap.  They both slept great and then we headed out for our girls night!!  We met up with Lindsey, Tara, Allison & Bridget and Nana at Charming Charlie over at San Tan Mall.  The girls and I have never been there before and we could not believe how huge that store is.  While we were in the store a huge haboob came rolling through.  It was definitely the perfect store to be stuck in during a storm!!  When the dust finally settled we headed over to Grimaldi's for dinner, but the wait was super long and we didn't want to wait and by that time the rain had really started to come down.  We decided on Mexican and headed over to Arriba's where our group met Aunt Tam, Aunt Polly and Jess for a fun dinner.  It was pouring when we parked at the restaurant and Tatum was very excited to use the umbrella!!  Dinner was great and then we had the girls over for a movie at our house.  Tatum wanted so bad to stay awake while everybody was over.  She was absolutely exhausted.  With about 20 minutes left in the movie, she looked at me and said, "Mom maybe we can walk them out now?"  She was absolutely ready for bed and it was hilarious!!

Sunday morning we woke up and went to Kohls & Costco and had lunch at Costco.  Can't beat a filling lunch for the 3 of us for 3 bucks!!  After a nap and some play time we headed over to Aunt Lindsey's for family dinner and for Matt and the rest of the boys to be home.  Matt's Aunt Polly was in town this weekend, and it was so great to get to see her and have her at family dinner.  After a yummy meal and dessert we played hide and seek.  The whole family played.  It was really fun that it was 12 adults and 2 kids playing.  The girls had a blast!!

We sure did miss Matt this weekend but the girls were amazing.  I am so proud of my girls, they really are growing up so fast and we are loving every minute of it!!

Love these sweet girls more than Anything!!

Our 4th of July

We woke up to cloudy skies on the 4th of July and couldn't of been happier about it!!  Matt had to work so he took us girls out to Einsteins for breafast before he headed in and the girls and I headed home and spent the morning dancing, playing games, watching the rain fall and loving the time together.

Matt got home about 2:00 and we headed over to Adam and Lindsey's for a swim and bbq afternoon.  The girls had a great time swimming and we loved enjoying the beautiful breeze as we ate outside!!  We were home by 6:45 that evening.  Tatum had absolutely no interest in watching fireworks and Camdyn was exhausted even though she took a great nap that afternoon.  We got home and did baths and breathers and Camdyn was asleep 10 seconds after I laid her down.  Right as we were putting Tatum to bed we saw the fireworks had started and watched them for a minute out of our bathroom window as we stood in the bathtub.  After a few fireworks Tatum looked at me and said, "Mom I don't want to watch the fireworks anymore I want to go to bed."  So off to bed she went. It was so much fun having a family day in the middle of the week!!

31!!

July 3rd was Matt's 31st birthday!!  We had a lot of fun celebrating his big day!!

On Saturday we went to see The Avengers that he has been wanting to see forever and then to dinner at the Yard House with our best friends the Veeh's and the Kehoe's.  We ended the night at the casino.  Matt wasn't a big winner, but he still had a fun night!!

Last night we had the family over for Matt's birthday dinner.  Matt decided he just wanted hamburgers and hot dogs with pasta salad, poppers, mushrooms and chips & dip.  So that is exactly what we had. The girls and I had been working hard on decorations for his party the last week or so.  We made swirlies to hang up (the girls colored paper plates and we cut them in swirls), Tatum made a birthday banner and I made a few things on the cricut and blew up 31 balloons.  Other than the fact that I almost passed out blowing up all those balloons the decorations were just perfect!!  Matt got some very wonderful gifts and Tatum enjoyed helping him open them all.

Birthday Daddy and his girls.

Carrot cake was the cake of choice and Camdyn and Tatum got to help Daddy blow out the candles.  He definitely needed the help since there was so many candles on there!!
